Whale Fin Sansevieria

The Whale Fin Sansevieria (Sansevieria masoniana), also known as Shark Fin or Mason’s Congo, is a striking succulent plant recognized for its large, paddle-shaped leaves that resemble a whale’s fin. Native to Central Africa, it is prized for its bold appearance and low-maintenance care. The thick, dark green leaves often feature mottled patterns and can grow over three feet tall, making it a popular statement plant in homes and offices. Like other sansevierias, it is highly tolerant of low light and drought, thriving on minimal water and indirect sunlight. Its air-purifying qualities add to its appeal, helping to remove toxins from indoor environments. The Whale Fin prefers well-draining soil and occasional watering once the soil is completely dry. Overwatering should be avoided to prevent root rot.
